WINTER NEWSLETTER
FEBRUARY 15, 2006

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Greetings in the Powerful Name of Jesus! Truly there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved! There is no salvation in any other, only the name of Jesus! Glory!

Truly Jesus is King of Kings and Lord of Lords! Our God reigns!

In the months we spent in Georgia, we were able to cover a new area called Ahalkalaki, in the very high mountains toward the Armenian border and pray with souls to receive the Lord Jesus! Also we were asked to pray for a young lady who needed deliverance. We traveled up with two families of moslems, and distributed many tracts along this VERY DUSTY ROAD. What an experience! We continue to pray for these souls, and for the opportunity to return to the area, and other cities we passed along the way. So much work, and so much opportunity to work in the name of the Lord. We were fortunate we took the trip before the snow closed it in.

Our basic efforts are always to pass out tracts, and booklets in Russian, Georgian, Turkish, and Azeri, and to reach as many people as possible with these booklets. The Word of God does not return void, but it will accomplish God’s purpose.

We stopped at the Turkish Transport Park, where the Turkish park their Transport Trucks overnight, rest, and have a hot meal. It is a wonderful place to reach Turkish workers. Glory! Some will ask for New Testaments! And if they don’t speak Russian or English, God never fails to provide an interpreter in the Turkish language. Sometimes the Georgian cooks, and workers listen, and we are able to lead someone to Christ. Sometimes we are in the market places, and continue fishing for men. We always have a variety of responses from violent anger spewing fire from the pit of hell, to joy and gladness ready to receive Christ. Yes, it is a battle to step out in Jesus’ Name to cast out the nets to bring in the souls. This is why we need your prayers, and prayer covering. Even on the plane we were able to pray with an elderly East Indian woman. It was so precious. She wanted to be sure she was ready to meet God, and have the assurance of eternal life.

The last trips we have taken to the Republic of Georgia, I was asked to translate Evangelistic videos from English to Russian for other missionaries to use with the people when they go out to distant villages, and orphanages. So this was a real challenge for me, feeling that surely there are others that are far better equipped to do the translations, but maybe no one stepped up to the plate. So it was rewarding for me, because it caused me to stretch in the Russian language, in translating and explaining on the subject of “liberty to the captives”, dealing with breaking strongholds, and breaking the yokes of bondage, and generational curses.

It was a preparation leading to what took place this winter in Georgia. We were asked to visit Christian homes where someone in the family was bound by demons. It isn’t an enjoyable subject, and most would rather talk of the blessings of God, but there are those that cry out for help, just as the man of the Gadarenes. In this region of the Caucasus Mountains,..the Kavkaz people...people practice witchcraft, sorcery, worship of the dead, fortune-telling of various kinds, and so on. We prayed with people who were bound with a demon of fear. I cannot explain all the details, but God manifested His Power, His Name be Glorified! He, and He alone, is worthy to be praised.

In the flesh it was absolutely Impossible, but what is impossible with man, is possible with God! We were out so late, so many times, praying for people, and the people were rejoicing, praising, and worshipping God. So many times our spIrits were rejoicing, but our bodies were exhausted. But we wouldn’t trade places with anyone. One morning, a Monday, all of a sudden someone comes pounding on our gate. It was two ladies, one we had prayed for a couple of years ago, and the other we had never seen. But Irma, the second young lady, came because she heard she would find rest for her soul. She had started reading the Bible, but wanted to know Jesus... Personally! Wow! It was such a blessed morning. So many situations, and wonderful grace of God to speak of, but above all, we know it is recorded in heaven.

We, also, deliver Gospel cassettes to families, which often reach the extended family into Russia, and beyond. Video cassettes, not only the Jesus film, but present day miracles, and stories of the Apostles, and so on are loaned out to the Azeri Moslems, and so on. May the souls of men be touched, and may they know what it is to be born again, and made whole, rejoicing, and going on with God. It takes every moment of everyday.

While we work, we hire a young brother in the Lord to do some repairs, and improvements on the mission house. Of course, Richard must do the preparations, purchase the material needed, and plan it out beforehand. The brother helps us and we help him feed his family. He, Brother Evgenia, is a wonderful blessing, growing in Christ, and preparing himself for the ministry. Please remember to pray for us in these various areas. Also we ask prayer for our health, for clear guidance for returning to Georgia, and while we are here in Idaho; and for continual improvement in the Russian Language, as well as what the Lord would have me learn in the Georgian language; for Divine Favor with the Azeri people, and Divine Protection.

As we were preparing to return to California from our trip overseas, and then Idaho, I, Maria, came down with Shingles, but now, praise the Lord, I’m coming up in His Resurrection Power. Glory! Thank you for your prayers, and for your support, love, and encouragement.
