December 2010 Letter From The Kunkles
Dear praying friends,
Greetings from sunny but chilly Arizona! We appreciate so much your prayers for us and our family as well as those to whom we minister.
Two particular notes of praise:
1. One hundred and thirty dollars in new or increased monthly pledges have been made in response to our recent prayer letter. We are now at 91% toward reaching our support goal.
2. Our daughter Angela has passed both her practical and written exams for her Arizona State certification in cosmetology! Her license will come in the mail in a few days. She worked and studied very hard for this, and we are very proud of her. It opens up the possibility of better work options and income.
Concerns for prayer:
1. That the needed 9% will be pledged to make possible our return to Bolivia in God’s time.
2. Our church people in Bolivia, especially the leadership, are facing great challenges and undergoing hardships related to the changes of these times. Please pray for their protection and provision for their basic needs such as food, shelter, medical care, and children’s’ education.
3. For God’s strength, wisdom and direction for us as we look to the future as related to family and ministry concerns.
Ellen is currently visiting family and friends in Oregon. My main task for the next couple of week will be looking after our granddaughter, Zjevahna while her mother is away at work.
A type of stomach flu has been going around and has hit several of us. It seems to be a 24 hour thing, so I think we are all going to make it okay.
May the remaining days of this year bring blessing and special sense of God’s nearness to your hearts.
In Christ’s service and care,
Joe
